Stand On Guard For Me: Royal Couple Head To Canada?

It is now barely three months until the Royal Wedding hits, but the full array of details of the big day have yet to be fully revealed. The venue, at least, has been known for some time: Westminster Abbey, rather than Weddings Abroad. And with a guest list of 5000 for the ceremony, a lot of talk currently centres around who is invited and who isn't. The couple themselves have a 2000 person portion, whilst the UK government is in charge of inviting world leaders and such. British Tabloid rag 'The Sun' was quick to sensationalise this as a snub to various favoured celebrities. Whilst Elton John and Footballer David Beckham, the couple aren't going to invite anyone who doesn't have anything to do with their 'public and private lives'.

After the guest list and 'the' dress (you know, 'that' one) the next most popular subject of speculation is the honeymoon. Various places have been claimed as a destination: the Scilly isles, Cumbria, Australia and the Algarve were all rumoured in January. Meanwhile, 'The Sun' believes it knows where the first official visit will be to: Canada. Hardly Holidays to Barbados, , hmm? A commonwealth member and historical ally, Canada may not seem the most exciting place to send a couple of newly weds, but the nation earns a great deal of affection from the Royal Family.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. It turns out that among Americans (who're constantly held up as some kind of beacon of world interest in this affair) 65% simply don't care about the wedding. Whilst some feel that this is somehow an afront to Anglo-American relations, others are frankly surprised that 35% of Americans have even the most passing appreciation about a future king who won't rule them (or anyone at all, really). Truthfully some of these people are most interested in the potential for a Diana-style explosive end to the relationship (or perhaps a Fergie style tale of hilarious bankruptcy). But all publicity is good publicity as they say, especially in a nation that lacks a Tropical Sky.

Is the Elton John Hit 'Empty Garden' based off of the childrens story 'The Secret Garden', by Burnnett ?

no...the full title of the song is "empty gatden (hey hey johnny)'...it is indeed about the murder of john lennon...
