Baseball Hitting Techniques To Transform You Into A Better Hitter
Transform into a Better Baseball Hitter
A better hit is every baseball players dream. Of course this is not an easy feat. Hitting a small object being thrown at you at extremely high speeds by someone who doesn't want you to hit it if of course not easy. We see famous hitters do it all the time, you can also accomplish it too with alot of practice and determination. The following are some tips to make you a better hitter.
Batting tees are a good tools to improve your hitting. Some people think of these as only for children, but the fact is even major league players use them to sharpen their skills. You must find a batting tee that is in your right size, or one that you can change up and adjust. Putting a whiffle ball on top of the tee is a very efficient method for training yourself and developing a good swing. If possible, you can get a batting tee that you can place in your yard so that you can practice daily. Plenty of players have developed their hitting skills by using this method.
When you are at bat, your main enemy is the pitcher, who is going to do everything he can to prevent you from hitting the ball. Statistically, pitchers usually win the duel with the batter, as even the best hitters get on base less than half the time. For these reasons, if you want to be a better hitter, it will help you to learn about pitching. You don't have to practice pitching, but watch it as much as you can, and learn about the different pitches. Figure out the types of pitches are difficult for you and use them to make your game better. For example, if you see that you tend to miss fastballs, then you should develop a little patience and learn to swing at slower balls.
Many baseball hitters have a hard time hitting because they don't know about the strike zone and they go after too many bad balls. When you swing at the wrong pitch, this will make you hit a foul ball, week balls or popups. Don't feel like you are under an obligation to swing your bat every time the pitcher pitches a ball. It is important that you relax when you are at bat because the bad tension will make you swing as the wrong pitches and not watch the ball enough. When you watch the professionals do it, look closely at how the hitters make contact or fail to make contact with different pitches and see how this might help you.
It can take a lot of hard work and effort to become a good hitter. A small number of players are so talented that they can start out being great at hitting, but the majority have areas they have to work on. These hitting suggestions that we have talked about will help you to make the correct improvements. It is a good feeling to make contact and hit the ball, so it is worth your time to develop the necessary skills so that you can do it all the time.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Gimme 5 (St. Petersburg Times)

**Talk of the town**
_Five topics suitable for inane debate on talk radio._
**Worthy of a refund:** Some losses are disappointing. Some are ugly. This one
was embarrassing. You can live with a team that lacks talent. A lack of
passion is inexcusable.
**A stopwatch costs $10: **They say you can't teach speed. Okay. How about
teaching scouts to look for speed? The Bucs run like they've got turn signals
on.
**Pass happy:** Matt Schaub, Drew Brees, Alex Smith and Matt Stafford have had
passer ratings of 154.9, 101.4, 127.2 and 118.9 against the Bucs. The NFL has
announced it will begin grading on a curve.
**Reality check: **Josh Freeman said afterward that he feels like he's
throwing the ball well. If he really believes that, his standards are not high
enough.
**Aim high: **Last week I told you the Bucs were on pace to give up more yards
than any Tampa Bay defense in history. Apparently, they've got even bigger
aspirations. The Bucs are allowing 6.39 yards per play. In the past 20 years,
the only NFL defense that gave up more was the 2008 Lions at 6.41. ...
